Natalia Zárate Gutierrez has seen her career span seven countries across Latin America. She has helped build up brands in a complex region of the world. This has led to her gaining valuable experience and developing skills in general brand management, sales and operations, retail marketing, public relations, training, real estate, human resources, finance, and the list goes on.
Someone whose strengths and passion revolve around people and team building, strategy development, relationship building, and strategy, Natalia Zárate Gutierrez has an established track record in her industry. Her success gives her the confidence to excel in a multinational environment.
Natalia Zárate Gutierrez saw her career kick off in 1999 as the MAC Mexico retail operation manager. Her role saw her responsible for all aspects of launching the brand in Mexico and Argentina. This she did with great aplomb with the sales in the area growing above the market trend.
In 2001, Natalia Zárate Gutierrez became the regional executive director for Latin America for Estee Lauder’s M.A.C. brand. Countries that fell under her auspices included Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, and Peru. She would consistently liaise between the company’s various affiliates and New York, developing local strategies and tactics to implement international brand objectives.
In 2011, Natalia Zárate Gutierrez, as the Mexico General Manager of Sephora, was responsible for launching the brand’s commercial and back-of-office division. Her creativity led to the success of Sephora’s launch in the area.
These days, a consultant for the Lindcorp Group’s Aruma retail expansion, Natalia Zárate Gutierrez, is also the founder and CEO of an online platform dedicated to beauty brands. Her business was selected amongst 1300 startups in Latam to join ROCKSTART. This is an accelerator programme for Tech startup projects.
Awards and accolades include her selection as one of “The 100 Most Powerful Women in Business” and her nomination to “2021 Edition Women Economic Forum Ibero-America 2020.”
As a conference speaker, Natalia Zárate Gutierrez addresses audiences on a variety of business subjects. She tailors each talk to suit her audience’s needs. Although born in Colombia, she has lived in Mexico for over twenty years. She is fluent in Spanish and English and has elementary proficiency in French and Portuguese.
