PSpeakers didn’t begin with a corporate master plan—it began with a call to help a friend. Before starting the agency, founder Jonathan Curran built his career in strategic consulting in London and the print newspaper industry, developing a deep network across media, publishing, and international business.
In 1998, Jonathan’s school friend from RBAI (Royal Belfast Academical Institution), Mark Pollock, underwent surgery for a rare eye disorder. The operation tragically failed, leaving Mark suddenly and permanently blind. Refusing to let blindness stop him, Mark launched extraordinary endurance expeditions—racing to the North Pole, South Pole, and Everest —and published his book Making It Happen.
Mark asked Jonathan to help him secure speaking engagements in London using his commercial and media contacts. What started as helping a close friend rapidly evolved: Mark became one of the world’s most sought-after motivational speakers, launching Jonathan into a lifelong passion for placing extraordinary thinkers on the global stage.

That journalistic standard was set by founder Jonathan Curran’s father—a distinguished newspaper editor who spent his career reporting on the divisive politics of Northern Ireland. A past President of the UK Society of Editors and a former member of the Press Complaints Commission, he was awarded an OBE in 2005 and an honorary doctorate from the University of Ulster in 2012 for services to journalism.

PSpeakers was born in London, rooted deeply in the UK broadcast and national media sector. In the agency’s earliest days, our network received a unique catalyst: a confidential red-and-black newsdesk notebook direct from one of the world’s premier broadcasters.
Compiled for breaking news editors who needed global authorities on air within an hour, it contained the direct personal mobile numbers of world figures, heads of state, leading economists, and cultural icons. That standard of direct, unmediated access set the benchmark for how PSpeakers operates today.
Over two decades, we expanded those London roots into dedicated regional hubs across Iberia (Madrid & Barcelona), Northern Europe & UK (London), and The Americas & LATAM (Lima)—bringing newsroom-level speed and elite access to corporate clients worldwide.

When unexpected emergencies strike, our network depth guarantees resilience. In 2012, we were booked by the International Metals Exchange in London to deliver their headline keynote speaker, the legendary British broadcaster Sir David Frost (famous for interviewing 7 U.S. Presidents). On the Friday evening directly before his scheduled Monday speech, Sir David tragically passed away aboard the cruise ship The Canberra.
Working around the clock over that weekend, our team secured and delivered the BBC’s World Affairs Editor, John Simpson as his replacement by Monday—ensuring the flagship event proceeded seamlessly. That is the level of calm, crisis-tested access PSpeakers brings to every booking.
In our opinion, 80% to 90% of speakers on the commercial market lack the practical, battle-tested experience required for an executive audience.
