A globally recognised innovation leader, futurist, and founder of ‘futurethink’ (in 2003), Lisa Bodell believes in applying a simple approach when it comes to innovation. She has worked with many leading brands, such as Merck, Merck,  Bosch, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson, placing her company at the top when it comes to innovation research, tools, and training curricula worldwide.

An accomplished author, Lisa has penned the widely-acclaimed Why Simple Wins: Escape the Complexity Trap and Get to Work That Matters,  Kill the Company: End the Status Quo, Start an Innovation Revolution (named one of the Best Business Books of 2012 by booz&co), and Simplification Toolkit.

Lisa, who is considered a world leader on simplifying innovation and change management, is sought after by companies on a global scale to help them eradicate complexities in the workplace that kill their ability to adapt and innovate. Simplifying things is becoming a global competitive advantage, and Lisa has the tried and tested tools and takeaways to motivate both organizations and people, she brings her compelling message to over 100,000 people a year, showing them how to eliminate mundane and unnecessary tasks from their everyday routine so that they have more time for work that matters.

Drawing on her practical Midwestern upbringing and entrepreneurial background, she has used the power of simplification to launch three successful businesses, write two books (Kill the Company and Why Simple Wins), travel to over 40 countries and 48 states, and sit on boards such as Novartis Diversity and Inclusion Board and the Global Advisory Council for the World Economic Forum.

A seasoned futurist, teacher, and entrepreneur, Linda Bodell has built up no less than three successful businesses. Starting out at Leo Burnett, Chicago, Lisa soon developed an interest in combining strategically-driven ideas with forward-thinking themes. From there Lisa started Strategic InSites, her own strategic planning firm, and later, Harvest Partners, a marketing and branding firm. Her latest venture, futurethink, focusses solely on innovations. In her capacity as a globally recognized futurist and leader in innovation and driving change, Lisa has helped numerous senior leaders unlock potential and create value.

Besides running futurethink, giving talks, and writing, Lisa serves on a number of boards in an advisory capacity, including those of the Institute of Direct Marketing (London), The Women’s Congress, the Association of Professional Futurists, and the Institute for Triple Helix Innovation think tank. She also serves as a finalist judge at the Idea Crossing Innovation Challenge and the FIT’s innovation challenge.  Lisa also serves as a faculty manager of the American Management Association.
