    The former CEO of IBM in Italy, Andrea Pontremoli, has taken on the role of CEO and partner of Dallara Automobili since 2007. The company mainly focuses on the design, development, and manufacturing of high-performance race cars.

    Someone who started his career at IBM in 1980 as a Hardware Customer Engineer, he soon took on roles with increasing responsibility in marketing and services. Andrea Pontremoli returned to Italy in 2001 after taking on overseas assignments. Upon his return, he served as the General Manager for IBM Global Services in the South Region. Three years later, in 2004, he became the President and CEO of IBM in Italy.

    Upon becoming the CEO of Dallara Automobile a few years later, Andrea Pontremoli played a key role in shaping the company’s long-term vision. Dallara, under his leadership, transitioned from a company focused on high-end craftmanship to a modern engineering firm defined by innovation.

    Besides his work at Dallara, Andrea Pontremoli holds various board positions and was recognised as a Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He also received an honorary degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Parma. The award recognises his extensive managerial expertise and commitment to advancing technological development in local business.
