Keyu Jin is a global economist and a professor of economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a bestselling author. Her field of expertise includes international macroeconomics, technology competition, and the Chinese economy.

Fortune Magazine selected Keyu Jin’s bestseller,  ‘The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism’, as one of the must-read books for every board member in 2023. The Financial Times named it Best Summer Book the same year.

Someone who has seen her works published in multiple academic publications, Keyu Jin includes,  amongst these, the American Economic Review. She has also contributed various op-eds to the New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Times magazine, and numerous others.

Besides the London School of Economics and Political Science, Keyu Jin also taught at Yale and Berkeley. She obtained her BA, MA, and PhD from Harvard University.

Besides her teaching and writing, Keyu Jin is also a non-executive board member for the global conglomerate Richemont and the Asian conglomerate Jardine Matheson. She is also a member of the Economic Advisory Council for the state of Qatar and a member of Ajay Banga, the President of the World Bank’s economic advisory panel.
