Ben Hanlin is a renowned magician, award-winning conference speaker, television celebrity, and host. In 2024, he won three awards at the Speaker Awards: Best Speaker 2024, Best Newcomer, and Best TEDx Talk 2024. He is best known for his appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Celebrity Juice, and Dancing on Ice ITV semi-finalist.
Ben Hanlin, who first appeared on television screens in Tricked, his own ITV show, made a name for himself by pulling magic pranks on celebrities and members of the public. He has also engaged in partnerships with industry giants, including McDonalds and Amazon Prime.
His passion for live performance led Ben Hanlin to quit his ‘real’ job in 2009 to pursue a career as a full-time magician. His YouTube channel, where he stalks celebrities and performs magic on them, has become famous. It also led to various opportunities on television, both as a magician and presenter. These include CBBC, Discovery Channel, and his own ITV2 show Tricked. The Broadcast Digital Awards awarded the latter Best Entertainment Show.
One of his proudest achievements is performing in London’s West End in The Illusionists and ITV’s Live at The Palladium. Awarded five stars in 2015 and 2018 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Ben Hanlin was also, in 2018, awarded The Best Variety Show of The Fringe by Theatre Weekly.
On a more recent note, partly due to the pandemic, Ben Hanlin once more focused his energy on social media. The result is an online following of over two million people. He has also become an entrepreneur who has co-founded a digital marketing platform.
In the corporate space, Ben Hanlin has become a notable speaker and a sought-after conference host at events for Coca-Cola and Google.
